Cyndi Gave -- Cyndi Gave is President of The Metiss Group, behavior experts at work providing selection and development solutions since 1996. Raised outside of New York City, Cyndi holds a bachelor ‘s degree from Michigan State University and has attended Wayne State University for graduate work. As a student of human behavior, Cyndi’s approaches are practical, effective, and designed to be implemented with relative ease. She has demonstrated her passion for aligning talent management strategies to business objectives for more than 25 years. A business leader at heart, Ms. Gave has found her niche to impact business results best through advising leaders in their quest for an effective employee selection process, and means by which to accelerate the performance of employees once hired. Having addressed thousands of executives, Cyndi is also a regular speaker on the keynote circuit presenting to a wide range of audiences on a variety of behavior at work topics.
John Gave -- John Gave is the Managing Partner of The Metiss Group. John has over twenty-five years experience working with emerging organizations and has been a managing partner with The Metiss Group since 2000. Mr. Gave is recognized as having developed revolutionary job matching and performance acceleration processes for The Metiss Group clients. He has written numerous articles on business processes and workplace behaviors. John was raised in southeast Michigan, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oakland University and currently resides in metropolitan Detroit with his wife and two sons.
Nancy Odil -- Nancy Odil is a Senior Advisor with the Metiss Group and has over twenty years experience working in talent management. She holds a Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University and was integral in the successful start up and growth of two thriving talent management firms. She joined the Metiss Group in 2004 as a Senior Advisor and continues her work with executives and owners advising them on the selection and development of senior managers and executives. Nancy is considered a content expert in her field and is adept at using assessments tools and proven practices to help senior executives navigate the selection process and accelerate employee performance. Whether advising and coaching business leaders or working one on one with employees, Nancy’s delivery is straightforward, diplomatic and warm. Ms. Odil was raised in Southeast Michigan and currently resides in metropolitan Detroit with her husband and three children.
Donna Lester — Donna Lester is a Senior Advisor with the Metiss Group and has over twenty years’ experience working in finance and human resources. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Walsh College and was a contributing member of the human resource and finance staffs at MascoTech prior to joining the Metiss Group (formerly HR Advantage) in 1998. The first employee of the Metiss Group, Donna brings experience from diverse industries including manufacturing and property management as well as the medical arena. Donna has an innate ability to read people, has embraced the assessment process, and has become a key player in debriefing potential candidates for clients as well as manage on-boarding debriefs with new hires. Donna owns the assessment administration process and prides herself on responsiveness and attention to detail. Donna brings her infectious high energy and professionalism to every client she serves. Donna was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and currently resides in metropolitan Detroit with her husband and three children.
History
In response to many requests for a business approach to human resource issues, Cyndi Gave founded The Metiss Group, Inc. (Formerly HR Advantage, Inc.) in 1996 in suburban Detroit. In short order, many associates were added to the firm to serve the diverse client base. In 1999 John Gave joined The Metiss Group bringing over 20 years of management expertise to develop formal structures and processes to support the growing business.
The Metiss Group opened a second office in the Charlotte, North Carolina area in 2007 to accommodate expansion into the southern United States. Since 1996, The Metiss Groups has provided behavior expertise at work to over 500 companies in a variety of industries across North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
On December 1, 2010, HR Advantage, Inc. was renamed The Metiss Group, Inc. to emphasize their focus as “behavior experts at work.” The new name is a variation of Metis, the Greek goddess of wisdom and good council.
